Praise for Agent Cupcake

“Frenetic energy zings throughout allegorical plotting, which accessibly tackles topics involving workplace mistreatment, corporate corruption, and greed. Confectionery-colored illustrations ensure that spirits are always high, and interactive elements—indicated by a spyglass icon on select pages—encourage readers to join in the protagonists’ codebreaking and puzzle-solving.”— Publishers Weekly

“Relying on solid story crafting and candy-colored yet noncloying visuals, the work pulls all these points together for an intense, riveting read…A spellbinding lesson in spycraft with magical appeal.”— Kirkus Reviews

Who is San Francisco?

Who is San Francisco? is a series of seven poster sized comic pages exploring displacement in San Francisco. It was commissioned by the San Francisco Arts Commission in 2023 and was displayed along Market street at Muni bus stops.

Featured in the seven designs, you will find:

  • How Did We Get Here? A brief history of displacement in San Francisco.

  • What is a Neighborhood? Daniel B. Landry reflects on the history and effects of urban renewal in the Fillmore district.

  • What is a Home? Jeanette Lazam recounts the history of the International Hotel and the displacement of the Pilipino community.

  • What is a Park? Features the Godfather of Roller Skating, David Miles, Jr. and his advocacy for roller skating in Golden Gate Park.

  • What is Work? Cinnamon, Ginger, and Vix discuss “The Lusty Lady” and the workers who unionized and then transformed it into a worker-owned cooperative to fight against their landlord.

  • What is a Bar? Marke Bieschke co-owner of The Stud speaks to the importance of queer bars as they are slowly disappearing in the City.

  • What Could SF Be? Ideas from housing advocate Darrell Owens on how to make San Francisco a more livable city for all.

"The third poster series in our 2023 Art on Market Street Poster Series program is a powerful representation of the human stories behind the struggle against displacement in our city. Through their captivating artwork and oral history interviews, Triple Dream Comics vividly depict the experiences of individuals who are fighting for their homes and communities.”

DEBIAN PERL: DIGITAL DETECTIVE

Megalopolis used to be the city hub for all the makers, doers, and dreamers. It was a better time according to Debian Perl, a technomancer known for her out-of-date computer programming skills. Now the city streets are filled with “Egg-heads,” those in thrall to the ease and simplicity of new technology as opposed to Debian’s way of doing things.

Digits is one of those Egg-heads. She is a young social media guru and knows her way around all the newest, latest technology. Debian and Digits cross paths when they both stumble across a 100-year-old lost robot named Ray-Bot. They soon learn that Ray-Bot’s CPU was suspiciously overclocked, leaving him unable to perform basic functions and commands. To find out where the robot came from, Debian must teach Digits everything she knows about computer coding and programming. Along their journey to bring Ray-Bot home, they begin piecing together the mysterious puzzle about his malfunction and uncover some sinister secrets.

Debian Perl: Digital Detective is a five-book series in which middle-grade readers will join Debian and Digits on mystery adventures all while building practical knowledge of coding, algorithms, algebra, and logical problem-solving.

"Debian Perl will not only teach readers about STEAM-based education, but also about the importance of friendship, loyalty, identity, and, of course, solving the scientific puzzles of the future." –Dr. Katie Monnin, Pop Culture Classroom

Her space opera

An audio-visual experience, Her Space Opera combines the work of musician Accumulator and myself. Included in the physical release is a 12” vinyl as well as a matching sized comic. Each page matches up with a song. Completely wordless, the comic seeks to take you on a journey through space, using music to tell the tale of a spacegirl searching for what was lost to her.
